Steve Infanti
Steve Infanti was named Sports Director at NewsChannel 9 in October of 2003. Steve is a Syracuse native who joined the station at the age of 22 as the weekend sports anchor. In addition to anchoring, he also works as a sports reporter, producer, and a photographer. Mr. Infanti hosts Orange Nation, a weekly show dedicated to giving viewers an in-depth look at the Orange during the SU football and basketball seasons. In addition to his work at NewsChannel 9, Mr. Infanti can be heard every weekday as the host of the radio version of Orange Nation – an hour-long sports talk show carried on the local ESPN radio affiliate. He also serves as an adjunct professor teaching sports reporting in SU’s Newhouse School of Communications. Mr. Infanti graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College's Park School of Communications with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. He enjoys public speaking, giving back to the community, and frequently speaks to high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in the media.
